Who we are?
The exhibition of musical instruments in Ostružná in Jeseníky Mountains belongs to unique collection of instruments in our country. It is exceptional not only by its place but also by its range and content. Visitors can see around 550 musical instruments from different parts of the world and get to know the musical culture of different countries. Apart from Antarctica, all continents are represented.
Next to the europian instruments, like violins, viols, acordeons, guitars, mandolins, zithers aand many more, there are also many exotic musical instrument – for example Chinese two-stringed violin erhu, Indian Sieter, different African drums, Tibetan tube Rkang Dung, beautifully designed harp Saung Gauk from Barma and many more.
Behind the creation of the collection, which currently includes more than 800 instruments, is Mr. Miloslav Muselík, who as a musician and music fan has been collecting instruments since 2004. The exhibition is open to the public from November 2014.
